{"id":4170,"date":"2017-01-26T13:56:13","date_gmt":"2017-01-26T10:56:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/time-chat.ph\/?p=4170"},"modified":"2017-01-26T13:57:38","modified_gmt":"2017-01-26T10:57:38","slug":"pleasures-paradise-part-2-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whyislam.info\/en\/pleasures-paradise-part-2-2\/","title":{"rendered":"THE PLEASURES OF PARADISE (PART 2 OF 2)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<h4><b>Description:<\/b> <span class=\"description\">The second of a two-part article defining the fundamental differences between Paradise and the life of this world. \u00a0Part 2: The superiority of its joys and delights in comparison to this life.<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>The Eternalness of the Hereafter<\/h2>\n<p class=\"w-body-text-1\" dir=\"LTR\">The Pleasures of this world are transient whilst the joys of the hereafter are lasting and eternal.\u00a0 In this life when a person enjoys something, it is only a short while before they get bored with it and proceed to search for something they feel is better, or they may not feel a need for it altogether.\u00a0 As for the delights of Paradise, a person will never feel bored with anything, but rather, its goodness will increase each time they indulge in it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-body-text-1\" dir=\"LTR\">Also, the life of this world is very short.\u00a0 Humans only live on this earth for a short while, and very few people reach the age of seventy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-quran\" dir=\"LTR\">\u201c\u2026Say: Short is the enjoyment of this world.\u00a0 The Hereafter is (far) better for him who fears God&#8230;\u201d (Quran 4:77)<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-body-text-1\" dir=\"LTR\">As for Paradise, people will live forever.\u00a0 God says:<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-quran\" dir=\"LTR\">\u201c&#8230;its provision is eternal and so is its shade\u2026\u201d (Quran 13:35)<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-quran\" dir=\"LTR\">\u201cWhat is with you must vanish, and what is with God will endure \u2026\u201d (Quran 16:96)<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-quran\" dir=\"LTR\">\u201c(It will be said to them): This is Our Provision, which will never finish\u201d (Quran 38:54)<\/p>\n<h2>Superior Delights<\/h2>\n<p class=\"w-body-text-1\" dir=\"LTR\">The delights of the people of Paradise, such as their clothing, food, drink, jewelry and palaces, will be far superior to their counterparts in this world.\u00a0 There is in fact no room for comparison, as even the smallest space in Paradise is better than this world and all that is in it.\u00a0 The Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, said:<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-hadeeth-or-bible\" dir=\"LTR\">\u201cThe space of the bow of any one of you in Paradise is better than all that the sun rises upon\u201d (<i>Mishkaat al-Masaabeeh<\/i> 3\/85, no. 5615)<\/p>\n<h2>Free from all Impurities<\/h2>\n<p class=\"w-body-text-1\" dir=\"LTR\">Paradise is free from all the impurities of this world.\u00a0 Eating and drinking in this life results in the need for excretion and its associated unpleasant odors.\u00a0 If a person drinks wine in this world, he loses his mind.\u00a0 Women in this world menstruate and give birth, which are sources of pain and hurt.\u00a0 Paradise is free from all of these discomforts: its people will not urinate, defecate, spit or suffer from catarrh.\u00a0 The wine of Paradise, as described by its Creator, is:<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-quran\" dir=\"LTR\">\u201cCrystal-white, delicious to those who drink (thereof), free from intoxication, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom\u201d (Quran 37:46-47)<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-body-text-1\" dir=\"LTR\">The water of Paradise does not become brackish, and its milk never changes in flavor:<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-quran\" dir=\"LTR\">\u201c&#8230;rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes&#8230;\u201d (Quran 47:15)<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-body-text-1\" dir=\"LTR\">The women of Paradise are pure and free from menstruation, postnatal bleeding and all the other impurities suffered by women in this world, and all are free from stool and feces.\u00a0 God says:<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-quran\" dir=\"LTR\">\u201c&#8230;and they shall have therein purified mates\u2026\u201d (Quran 2:25)<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-body-text-1\" dir=\"LTR\">The prophet answered a person when they asked how the people of Paradise will relieve themselves:<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-hadeeth-or-bible\" dir=\"LTR\">\u201cThey relieve themselves by perspiring through their skins, and its fragrance will be that of musk, and all stomachs will have become lean.\u201d (<i>ibn Hibbaan<\/i>)<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-body-text-1\" dir=\"LTR\">What we have mentioned has been a mere comparison in order to understand the nature of Paradise, but as God said, its delights are truly hidden:<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-quran\" dir=\"LTR\">\u201cNo person knows what is kept hidden for them of joy, as a reward for what they used to do.\u201d (Quran 32:17)<\/p>\n<h2>Paradise: There is Nothing Like It<\/h2>\n<p class=\"w-body-text-1\" dir=\"LTR\">The delights of Paradise surpass the imagination and defy description.\u00a0 They are like nothing known to the people of this world; no matter how advanced we may become, what we achieve is as nothing in comparison with the joys of the Hereafter.\u00a0 As is mentioned in several reports, there is nothing like Paradise:<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-hadeeth-or-bible\" dir=\"LTR\">\u201cIt is sparkling light, aromatic plants, a lofty palace, a flowing river, ripe fruit, a beautiful wife and abundant clothing, in an eternal abode of radiant joy, in beautiful soundly-constructed high houses\u201d. (<i>Ibn Maajah, Ibn Hibbaan<\/i>)<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-body-text-1\" dir=\"LTR\">The Sahabah asked the Prophet about the buildings of Paradise and he replied with a wonderful description:<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-hadeeth-or-bible\" dir=\"LTR\">\u201cBricks of gold and silver, and mortar of fragrant musk, pebbles of pearl and sapphire, and soil of saffron.\u00a0 Whoever enters it is filled with joy and will never feel miserable; he will live there forever and never die; their clothes will never wear out and their youth will never fade.\u201d (<i>Ahmad, at-Tirmidhi, ad-Daarimee<\/i>)<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-body-text-1\" dir=\"LTR\">God says:<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-quran\" dir=\"LTR\">\u201cAnd when you look there (in Paradise) you will see a delight (that cannot be imagined), and a great dominion.\u201d (Quran 76:20)<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-body-text-1\" dir=\"LTR\">What God has kept hidden from us the delights of Paradise is beyond our ability to comprehend.\u00a0 The Prophet said that God said:<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-body-text-1\" dir=\"LTR\">\u201cI have prepared for My slaves what no eye has seen, no ear has heard and no human heart can imagine.\u201d\u00a0 Recite if you wish:<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-quran\" dir=\"LTR\">\u201cNo person knows what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do.\u201d (Quran 32:17)<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-body-text-1\" dir=\"LTR\">In another report:<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-hadeeth-or-bible\" dir=\"LTR\">\u201cNever mind what God has told you; what He has not told you is even greater.\u201d (<i>Saheeh Muslim<\/i>)<\/p>\n<p class=\"w-body-text-1\" dir=\"LTR\">In other articles, we will attempt to mention some of the specific details of Paradise and the delights therein described to us by God and His last Prophet.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Description: The second of a two-part article defining the fundamental differences between Paradise and the life of this world. \u00a0Part 2: The superiority of its joys and delights in comparison to this life. &nbsp; The Eternalness of the Hereafter The Pleasures of this world are transient whilst the joys of the hereafter are lasting and [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":4172,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[41],"tags":[],"yst_prominent_words":[],"class_list":["post-4170","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-article"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/whyislam.info\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/4170","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/whyislam.info\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/whyislam.info\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/whyislam.info\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/4"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/whyislam.info\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=4170"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/whyislam.info\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/4170\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/whyislam.info\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/4172"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/whyislam.info\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4170"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/whyislam.info\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=4170"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/whyislam.info\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=4170"},{"taxonomy":"yst_prominent_words","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/whyislam.info\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/yst_prominent_words?post=4170"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
